My Server?

Ok, sorry if this is on another thread buried on the site, because for most if not all here, it's probably a stupid question. Either way, I don't use my computer as a server and I don't have a server at home, but I use those hosting packages or whatever they are called.

Does that work for this shoutcast thing?

If not, can I use one of those server services on line?

Sorry, lame question I know, but someone just told me about this stuff and until today, I have never heard of it. I'm just trying to figure out where to start in trying to utilize it for what I need.
