Various questions

Hi folks,

I recently setup my own little radio station (playlist) with the help of these great forums but i have a few questions and issues.

1. how come i can't listen to my own broadcast from the computer i'm streaming from? does it have to do with port blocking? it does work using 127.0.0.1:7600 (instead of external ip address) but it buffers VERY slowly and disconnects after 54 seconds.

2. if my input device in my dsp plugin is set to winamp, does the volume slider have an effect on my broadcast volume? can i safely turn the volume down?

3. since my source files are 128 kbps mp3's and i'm streaming in 64kpbs aac+, does this mean my stream is compressed twice? if yes, would the same thing happen if i'd be streaming in 128kbps mp3?

4. in case you'd be listening, how does my actual streaming qualtiy sound?

Thanks a lot for your help!

1: try localhost:7600 as your router may not have local loopback

2: No ,,,, yes u can turn it down

3: shouldnt be a problem

buffering through lack of upstream by the sound of it,,

i hope this helps
