My server won't connect!

Nope i used 127.0.0.1 <--- that ip and it still auto-Dissconects my brodcast

You have installed SHOUTcast, right? (Just checking - you'd be surprised how many people miss that critical step)

i downloaded the 2nd file in the dl list and i clicked the installer *shoutcast-dsp-1-9-0-windows.exe*

You need this too. Next, read. Read a lot. http://www.sp0rky-n00b.co.uk/localcast.htm Lu's Setup Guide Shoutcast is not for the weak. You'll have to work through install, and config, using the above page as a guide. If you're any good with computers, you'll have it all done in an hour or less. But... To make shoutcast work on the Internet, you will have to open ports in your router. So if you're at home and you do not have permission or ability to access your router, then the only person who will be able to hear your station is you... |

um... how do i use the mic to talk? i have it on *unmuted* but when i talk in it it the bars dont go up

Take a deep breath, and read. The question of how to open firewalls has been addressed in many posts here. Take some initiative and work it out with forum searches and on line documentation. We're here to help when things go wrong, but you have to set it all up first...
