Relaying another station when no one is broadcasting.
Hi, I would like to know how to setup SHOUTcast DNAS to relay another station when no one is connected to it. Is this possible? If so, how can this be done, I am using te Linux version if thst makes any difference.
Thanks, Craig. |

add the details (ip&port) of the server to the config,
kill the server and restart it and it will relay, make sure you have the permission to relay the server or some people tend to be unhappy about others doing this, Last edited by Nick@ss; 1st October 2005 at 20:43. |

No. If you have the server set to relay it will only relay. Although someone can log in and bump the relay it will just reconnect to the relay. Until the relay option is removed from the configuration no one can stream live to it.
Changing it requires a restart of the server and will dump all listeners connected when it's done. 1001. FM - Megarock Radio - St. Louis Since 1998! Tune In Now! Corporate Radio Sucks! No suits, all rock! |
