play media library playlists from "Play" menu

i know it's possible to open up media library playlists without opening up the media library. i find it strange that bookmarks are in its own menu as well as under the "play" menu while none of the media library selections (that being playlists and media library view results) are in the play menu. i have to expand the playlist editor to get to those actions. i would have thought that it would have been in the play menu already. can someone put that feature in either as a plugin or the next build?
