DirectSound or Wav?

Pretty simple... Which of the 2 are more stable, less CPU consuming? Which do you recommend?

Thanks!

It's the standard onboard creative AudioPCI es1371/73 wdm.

It's on a pIII 600 with 384mb ram

Winamp 5.1 lite

The directsound config offers hardware Acceleration (enabled)

Thanks.

Generally DirectSound is suggested for Windows 2000/XP, and waveOut is suggested for Windows 95/98/ME.
