current song on myspace?
after a bit of time, and thinking, i decided to set up a shoutcast for my friends and i to listen to during classes and such.
then later i decided to set my myspace to stream my shoutcast server, more amazement by my friends. however, i came acrost the problem of: how to update current song via html myspace is very stubborn, and dosent take any sort of scripts, i think. "You may enter HTML/DHTML or CSS in any text field. Javascript is not allowed." Flash tends to work, not well though. also i dont have any web server/space to upload a phpscript or something like it to. any help would be appreciated |

You could find a friend with php hosting and add an i-frame to your space containing the data. Web space is incredibly cheap these days anyhow.

What you do is make your php script, you can use this one if you want http://sp0rky-n00b.co.uk/phpscript.zip put your port, ip, password etc into the config. It explains itself throughout if you get stuck.
You give that to your mate to put on his webspace and give you the link to it. On your space <IFRAME SRC="url to the php on your mates space"> in the part of the page you want it displayed. |
