acc+ from a 128kbps mp3 playlist

waiting for the next version of the linux client that will enable aac+ streaming. is it true that (and i think winamp 5 does this but i would't know, being an OS X user) it will be able to decode from directory of mp3s then re-encode as aac+ and broadcast?

or would i need to personally re-encode all my files from mp3 to aac+ before being able to stream them with the new transcoder?

no need to encode them first, the winamp/shoutcast dsp will encode your mp3 to aac+ on the fly and broadcast them. as for doing it on a mac, i have no clue. maybe someone else can answer that one.

yeah, i am speaking of sc_trans. and if it will encode on the fly like winamp then thats awesome!
