newbie: Shoutcas web administrating
Got to start by thanking dotme for his help on my previous problem. My shoutcast is working awesome. The only thing I am having problems with is login on to the administrative side of shoutcast from the web interface.
I changed the password and still cant log in. Maybe I should say I think I changed it correctly because i dont even know exactly what login name to use. I know I have to modify the ini file but that is all that I am sure off. Any help for this lost soul is appreciated. Thanksss |

Unless there is an overwhelming reason to have a seperate Administration password, I wouldn't bother using it.
In the .ini file, leave this line as it is (or put it back if you changed it) ; AdminPassword= Now with the Web Admin area, you would just log in using "Admin" as the username, and your DSP password as the password. (Remember to restart the DNAS if you had to make a config change) Hope this helps

If you don't have guest DJs, I always thought it was pretty normal to use the standard "Password" field in the ini file to access the Admin area on the web and not bother with an "AdminPassword". Is there a known exploit I should worry about? I don't want to be giving out bad advice... |
