avs-grabber APE question

question:
i've downloaded the avs-grabber APE from acko.net and followed the instructions given 2 me, but can't find the correct place 2 install it in.
what i want 2 do is convert from avs 2 avi so if anyone could help ...please do so...thnx

ape goes to the avs dir (winamp\plugins\avs), dll to the plugins dir (winamp\plugins)

Yes, in the AVS-editor you have to add the AVSgrabber to the preset you want to record (put it at the end).

thanx but it doesnt show anywhere in the normaal lists of options...im gonna trie all over,...AGAIN!!! lol

*sigh* either you didn't install it in the correct folder or you aren't looking in the right place within the editor.
AVSGrabber is an effect that must be added to the list of other effects which constitute the preset actually. See the "+" button? Click it and a menu will pop up. If you installed the ape correctly you will find it somewhere there.

Well...since i'm asking so much..and searched the forums and their leads...and it's monday...

1:where can I find the manual!!!
and if not possible:
1a:which codec must I use, I've got about 12 and neither of them make the preset play.\\\\\the icon aswell as the screenplay is just black///////
1b:does anyone have advice on how 2 configure your 'grab'

In other words, it's AVI now but still not playable + I've tried my best on the forums, HELP WANTED!!

so...the other thread died...bummer..

guys...ehm...i'm fiddling like a maniac but i can't seem 2 figure out how my avs is converted 2 a proper avi....
as u know i'm using avs-grabber and i've got a couple of different codecs 2 choose from..nevertheless my file becomes avi but stays pitchblack...i tries divxconverter as well...it does convert but stays black..what am i doing wrong?
could anyone help me out by simply telling me how they do it?
i shure hope so...thanx

Are you adding the "AVS Grabber" to the end of the preset or the beginning? That might make a difference.

i'm adding it at the top of the tree...

even if i 'grab' witout compression or at 32 i have still no picture showing ...it plays ,but all is black
i'm surching other forums now, downloaded all kinds of stuff ..i know i'm close...

after i've been building 4 a year now a new world opens ...next level....

time 2 delete al those wicked codecs,....

i'm not dumb i just think 2 complicated...hahaha

well, i said several times that you have to add the ape to the END OF THE PRESET! If you haven't seen that you're indeed a bit too complicated...

at the end yeah...but i forgot that im building downwords..so the end is at the top then...seems logical 2 me...anyway i'm probably more confusing now then the program

Yeah indeed, it's just like in the windows explorer where the list also starts from the bottom...
