When playing CDs my Winamp plays a short intro for each track prior to playing the entire song. I can't seem to see where the intro can be either removed or changed.

Secondly, when you let the cursor sit over any button on the main window, the window popup is partially hidden behind the eq screen.

I've got the same problem and it's reallly annoying. Especially if I'm listening to a live concert that should flow together.

Me too...does anyone know how to get rid of it ? It's really annoying, especially when I have 'shuffle' on as it plays an intro to one track and then plays another one ! Bizarre ! Answers on a post card please...

This is a very wild guess but the CD-reader plugin might help http://www.winamp.com/customize/deta...omponentId=546

Yeah, I've had this problem since, well, ages. By coincidence I tried the CD-Reader plugin last night, and it works a treat!

The only problem is you need a cd-rom that can read cd audio data, as opposed to just playing it.

Gandalf,

Thanks for the recomendation. This however, causes another problem. When loading CDs the CDDB no longer loads. I went into the plugin config screen and this doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Thanks

freeq

Well, I installed the cd reader plug-in. This was great, no longer waiting for intro's to play. But I got some other problems. CDs were loading twice and the CDDB was no longer working. So I then went about trying to delete a plug-in. A little more difficult that I had initially intended. I did notice on the plug-in configuration screen that it lists the .DLL for each plug-in. I closed WinAmp, deleted the plugin for the new CD Player plug-in (IN_CDREADER.DLL) and now the plug-in is no longer listed on the plug-in sheet. By deleting the .DLL it resolved all of my problems. The CD player plays each song without the intro., the CDDB works and each CD only loads once. All Solved.

This should answer all of the questions that I initially posted. Hope this helps, I assure you that it definately releaved a little unneccessary stress in my life. Whatever.

Peace
