Hello.
Ia m having some problems here.. See the shots. -Winamp 5.112 Full install -Amd k7 1.3gigs. 256mb ram ddr 266. Asus a7v400-mx se -Windows xp pro sp2. -Sound blaster live! Card (dell version) -Nvidia geforce2 mx 400 (nO visual plugins were being used.) -Directx version is that come with windows xp. 9.0C (latest drivers installed for both video and sound card) Start up items: Sygate firewall Messenger Plus Cacheman XP Running processes: This happens with any program open. Even when i start windows and just using winamp. But i was using: -Opera (last version) -Acrobat Reader (last version) -Word (office 2003) i was playing a mp3 file. I dont changed anything in winamp config. When i was using the old version and wass all right. This happens also when i open the file directly by windows explorer or using the wamp library. Update: Some are VBR mp3 files. How it happens? I play the file... and this does not have a process.. just happens! I dont know what is. I am just hearing the song and somehow crash! Winamp fails. Maybe the code included in the shot will help you. One note i like to switch between windows using 'alt+tab', 'windows buton+m' all the time. Last edited by Guest1025; 26th November 2005 at 11:16. |

Which modern skin are you using? Does this happen with the default Winamp Modern skin, or just with some 3rd-party modern skin?
Are you using any extra 3rd-party Winamp plugins? If so, which one(s)? Does the problem still occur on a clean install? Please also attach a HijackThis log to your next reply here. |

Is the deafult winamp modern skin.
Plugins: Dsound output v2.41 DSP plugin: (3rd party) Enhancer v0.17 http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=81361 I am waiting for the problem then i'll use HJT. ( But before this i will make a clean install. I never uninstalled winamp. ) |

Since I'm getting the same error (See my post topic: Assertion failed: "removewindow on invalid wnd") I was just wondering if you might be running MS Outlook.
Outlook sends notifications when mail arrives, to the same screen area as WinAmp. When I changed the WinAmp notification preference it changed the error message, so I thought it might have something to do with this. Regards, Fred Chateau http://68.52.68.77/homepage/ |

i've made that clean install and now all is working right. And also.. much faster. I will leave this thing on the whole day to see if will happen something, otherwise just a clean install will fix. thanks! |
