Van Halen
What do you think of Van Halen? What songs do you like in particular?
I really can't get enough of them. To me they're the best band of the 80's, no, of all times. I can't think of a band that made music that good and so much of it at the same time . Incredible. ![]() My absolute favourites are "Dreams", "Love Walks In", "Panama" and of course "Jump". |

I'm a big fan of "Hot For Teacher". Muchos other stuff too, but I have to say that 1984 is my favourite of their albums.

I was listing to planet ROCK at the weekend, that only plays ROCK - so much so one of their jingles goes 'Planet ROCK - It ROCKs'. And as they only play ROCK that ROCKs, which appears to consist mostly of the back catalogue of U2 and Van Halen, by implication Van Halen ROCK.
Er, I like 1984 best too...... |

1984 is one of the albums I must buy before I die, and I still havn't done it yet... >_<
I still like Van Halen I and II, though, as neither album has a song that I hate...Their songs sound just as fresh as they did 30 years ago...Everything from Eddie's elaborate guitar skills, Alex's solid drum beats, and Michael laying the low-down on bass...And of course, David Lee Roth is my favorable singer of either era (Excluding that freak on Van Halen III from the entire Van Halen history)... ![]() "Eruption" has got to be the guitar solo of the century...
"I just want to lie in my own crusty filth, eating rancid egg sandwiches, until some unfortunate paramedic has to blow down my door to find my bloated and pasty corpse wedged between the nightstand and mattress stained with Bengay and Robitussin DM." - Greg Gutfeld on sex and seniors "Syphilis does not stay in Vegas. Debt collectors do not stay in Vegas. Dead hookers stay in Vegas, but the guilt stays with you forever." - Bill Schultz |
