Pre-Installation Questions

Hey all,
I have set up shoutcast before on windows and now I plan doing so on a linux server.
My questions are:

1) Well for the windows version you needed to have winamp running and the shoutcast server just streams the songs you play with some delay. How is that going to work with linux? Is the install I already downloaded self-sufficient or shall I install some plugins as well.

2) How will I be able to chose the songs which are to be played? Is there a way through a web interface, to select the songs which I want to be played and to manage playlists?

Thanks in advance!
Hala

with linux you can run shoutcast and sc_trans

search the boards for sc_trans and you will find plenty of information on what you are asking,
