vis.dll sdk question

Hi - I'm new to these forums and I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this question, but this thread is the closest thing I could find.

I have downloaded the sdk and am having some real fun modifying the test project to make vis.dll. I am trying to modify the colors and I can't seem to get it to link to SetDCPenColor(). I'm sure this is just some kind of issue with the way I am using MSVC, but I don't know much about windows programming. My project includes the GDI32.lib and it' supposed to be inside it so I'm kind of stumped.

Can anyone give me a quick pointer to how to change the pen color?
