To Play RML files in Winamp !!!

Folks I have been using & enjoying winamp, god knows for how many years, but this is the first time I need expert help !

I have been using Innover15 plugin in conjunction with realplayer to play all .rml files within winamp. For last 8/9 months RML files just dont play. On clicking it starts but stops. If I drag the slider, it will again play for couple of seconds to stop again. (There is never any error message) I have installed & uninstalled whole thing again & again, but no help.

I am using 5.12 with innover15 plugin + realplayer8 on WinXP sp2. The RML files play just ok in real jukebox.

I will be delighted to play those elvis & abba songs again In my WinAMP !!! Can anyone help ?

Its really unfortunate to note that among all the music & tech nerds of nullsoft, no one could provide a solution to my problem. I always regarded WinAMP as a comprehensive solution to all format music enjoyment !

Hmm, I've never heard of RML before. Sure, I know RM, RA, RAM, RMJ, RMX, SMI, SMIL, etc etc, but not RML. Any chance of uploading a zipped sample file somewhere?

I stopped using buggy Innoreal many years ago... and haven't used RealPlayer for just as long (I use Real Alternative engine instead).

Try removing Innover Real plugin (in_ra.dll) and use the newer Tara plugin instead. Be sure to read the instructions on that page (eg. note where it says you might need to uncheck "process audio through winamp" in the Tara config).

You will probably also need to add RML to the extension list in the winamp\tara.ini config file, eg.

; Real Audio and Video Files
1=RAM;RMM;RA;RNX;RMX;RV;RM;RMJ;RPM;RT;SMI;SMIL;RML:Real Audio Files

That's assuming RML is even a proper RealPlayer file format/extension, because there's nothing to suggest here that it is.
