Couldn't find alot of information but in searching Google I came across this:
see sysctl kern.threads.max_threads_per_proc http://www.nabble.com/Libmicro!!-pthread_create-Resource-temporarily-unavailable-t613604.html http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search 1001. If I remember correctly, CentOS may be one of the distros that decided not to really follow the other linux distros out there (meaning main stream rpms or debian). In light of this, it may be possible to find a build of shoutcast specifically for CentOS (though I just googled it and came up empty).

The ones on SHOUTcast.com are the only builds (No, SHOUTcast is not open source).

The error itself is pretty clear - the system could not create any more proces threads. The reason isn't real clear though.
I'd advise in doing a sysctl kern.threads and see what the output looks like: sysctl kern.threads kern.threads.thr_scope_sys: 0 kern.threads.thr_concurrency: 0 kern.threads.debug: 0 kern.threads.max_threads_per_proc: 1500 kern.threads.max_groups_per_proc: 1500 kern.threads.max_threads_hits: 0 kern.threads.virtual_cpu: 1 Not sure what else is running on the box, hardware availability and the such but from the sounds of it there is a resource limitation causing the issue. 1001.
