Multiple users sharing control over Winamp
I'd love if there would be a way to have multiple users on a Windows XP system being able to control the same Winamp. I'm not talking sharing only playlist like today, but everything.
Like if I leave the computer with Winamp running (and playing a song) on my user, the computer "locks" my user and returns to the welcome screen after a while. If my girlfriend then logs onto her account and starts Winamp, she gets my playlist (if I don't check the multiple user option), but she have no way of controling the instance already playing music in my account. She can start a new song in _her_ Winamp, but not stop, skip, pause, etc. the one already playing. There must be loads of users wanting this? |

sublime1 - unfortunately, what you are suggesting would break the Windows user security model. One of the points of separate users is that you can't touch each other's stuff.
The copy of Winamp running under your girlfriend's account can't even see the copy of Winamp running under your account. I understand the aggravation, though. I run into the same thing at home. |

Billy, mikm -
I think he wants User A to be able to hit stop on User B's running Winamp. |
