Weird File Association Problems

I've been using Winamp for a ridiculously long time without ever running into this problem. While all of my mp3 files are associated to play with Winamp, when I double click a mp3 it does not open Winamp and play. HOWEVER, if Winamp is already open, the file does play upon double click.

To sum it up again, if Winamp is closed, double clicking results with the unwelcomed response of doing absolutely nothing.

If anyone could tell me what may be causing this odd behaviour it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Are you saying that Winamp opens but does not play, or Winamp doesn't open at all.

Take a look in Prefs > File Types > Explorer settings and untick 'Enqueue .. ' if it is set.

Otherwise confirm you are using the latest version (5.12) and provide details of any other 3rd party plugins you may be using.
