Loud Hum - Microphone Input
OK, you WinAmp guys are pretty damn smart, so let's see if you can help me...
I'm trying to stream a radio stream (like a HAM Radio) into my computer. I have a standard line-in type plug tied in from the speaker of my radio into the mic port on my soundcard. The problem I am having is that there is a REALLY LOUD HUMMM: http://splitrock.techmgmt.net:8181/listen.pls I'm using the "Soundcard" as the input method and I've adjusted all kinds of things. I adjust the BG Music Level and if I drop it all the way down, I get no humm... It's driving me nuts.. HELP!!!!! |

Tried that, couldn't get it to work. Let me try again. Maybe it was lack of coffee....

Feedback occurs when the microphone can "hear" itself -- make sure you use headphones when your use the MIC or mute the speakers, and/or ensure that the MIC is muted in the output mixer.
Also realize that both WinMixers [record|output] may need to be "tweaked" to get the effect you desire. The mixers [your mastery of them] are the key and the answer to your problem. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |
