can I use 2 dsl's
I understood the faq about sending out a multi-bitrate stream, one for high, and one for low. If I have two separate phone numbers each with its own dsl, is there a way I can send the high stream to one dsl, and the low stream to the other dsl?

That's not easy to do from a single piece of hardware. But if you have 2 PCs, and run a DNAS on each one with each also having one DSL as it's default gateway, then yes.

if you want to go the dual dsl line route .... then you need two nics in one computer (one for each line) and then you need to bind the nics together. Then you would run two instances of shoutcast on two different ports (one for each stream).
However, it is really not recomended that you do this. Really, really, really, really not recomended... In light of that, dotme really has the best option. |
