Right, so you're using the minority which act out enough to get into the news as your benchmark for the entire race? Persecuting the majority like that is what makes extremist views more widespread.

It's all you ever hear from them because it's all that makes it to the news. Apparently a muslim holding moderate views isn't front page material these days.

One of the problems we have isn't Islam itself. Islam itself is ok. The problem is a lack of law enforcement. I've often thought Syria was like this to some extent. These countries are not able to control people within their borders.

There's a million violent criminals in our prisons. Suppose they were loose?. We might experience the same sort of violence as middle eastern countries.

This is sort of like saying everyone in Ireland is a terrorist.

I've met people from all over the world. Usually the people that don't mind their own business would be us.

I am unconvinced that the average person in the middle east believes any of this crap any more than anyone else. It's just that they're not in control of their country.

Mexico is like this in some places. Cut your throat for a dollar. But not most of places or people.

People univerally want the same thing. Something to eat, a place to live and to be left alone.

It's when they don't get that that things get dicey.
