How can I refuce buffer size
Hi - I am using Shoutcast at minute - broadcasting music with about a 22-26 sec buffer. I would like to broadcast live chat and would really appreciate it if someone could give me some tips on how to reduce this buffer time?? I have the latest version of shoutcast and winamp. I have a satellite broadband connection with a 2.56MB upload speed. Any Suggestions?

The higher the bitrate the lower the delay,
you cannot change the buffer in shoutcast but you can with icecast and i believe steamcast |

Hi Nick - Thank you for your reply. In your experience what is the lowest buffer required for transmitting voice only?? Is it ever near 0 seconds??
