why won't u fix this issue?

since version passed 5.08 .. in classic mode for winamp whenever the add files window is open .. you cannot freely click anything on the main window anymore. i don't understand why you guys took it away (knowingly or unknowingly) .. if you guys don't know you guys did this .. then fix it .. because i know it works when in winamp modern for version 5.08+

because of that i haven't upgraded to any of the recent versions

That's the nature of a modal dialog. It's supposed to block input to the program until you close it (you shouldn't be doing anything while performing that operation). Try opening the Open dialog in almost any mature application and you will see the same effect.

It doesn't work the same way with Modern skins because of the nature of how they handle user input.

It hasn't been "fixed" because it's not an issue.

i'm pretty damn sure ever since i've been using winamp this "feature" has been present ever since version 2.x .. so why take it out?

Is it REALLY necessary to be able to use the cbuttons whilst adding music? Seriously, how often is the Open dialog open?

Are you sure it's ever done that?, I've just installed 2.90 and it won't do it in there for me??

The next random install I tried was 5.07, didn't work in there either....

it's not going to change back since it was altered to fix a major issue which would cause Winamp to lock up due to conflicts with the OS's handling and Winamp's processing. we did look at keeping that 'quirk' implemented but for the stability of the player it wasn't possible
