error unzipping SHOUTcast DNAS 1.9.2

Yes I have downloaded SHOUTcast DNAS 1.9.2 from the shoutcast website like 4 times already and each time when i try to unzip the tar.tar file it tells me error in header or something.


Is there a working SHOUTcast DNAS 1.9.2 file anywhere because the one for unix at shoutcast seems to be not working.?

That is the same one i have downloaded 5 times now. I get the error in winzip telling me that header has error.

I also tried gzip it did not work either. you try it and tell me if it works for you.

Works fine here. But being a Linxu application, I don't see why you are opening it with Winzip. Use gzip and tar on the Linux machine you are running it on.

oh so i can uzip it or ungzip it on the server using putty ? Instead of unzipping it locally?

I read somewhere in the "how to's" that you had to "configure it" before you uploaded it>

I wonder why I could not do it?

I swear on my grandfathers grave I have done zip files and tar files and even rar files before . The only time I have ever had problems is when i downloaded a BAD file. But in this case every time I downloaded it , it was bad or at least that what it appeared to be.

geeesh what a way to get this thing started huh?
