Decreasing BMP size.

We all know BMP sizes are a bitch, but i am having trouble keeping my skins under 300kb. I skinned the Natalie Portman skins(nat-amp1.2 & nat-amp2.0). They are way over 300kb. I save my bmp files(as 24-bit i think) after i edit them in Photoshop5.0, then i use winzip to zip them up on maximum compression setting.

Try doing a Colors|Reduce Color Depth to 256(8 Bit) colours and see if you lose any quality. I don't think it will affect the image that much but you'll more than halve the image size.
