novice not understanding how to broadcast video - Read Sticky Already

I don't mean to be redundant but I am lost on understanding how to broadcast training videos I have taken with a digital video camera. I have read some of the techie info and I even downloaded some VP3 codex info but just can't pull it together. Is there anyone out here that can spell it out in plain english?

TIA

first you have to detail where you are in your effort and what is going wrong. There are too many facets to what you are doing to spell it out in plain english.

Thanks, but I need to say I would have to say I have no clue as to what I need to download or video portionuse the WINAMP . I see that WINAMP has video, and I tried uploading but no good. Then i was searching and found the VP3 codexe but really don't understand what to do with it. I thought there may be some form od download to addd to WINAMP. I understand it may be more complex, I am not the most proficent web weenie, my apology!

So far the WINAMP is pretty slick and working perfectly, I would love to use the several vidoes I have for educational reasons.

TIA

The main software for Winamp TV is NSVtools for encoding video / audio and Shoutcast DNAS server for streaming the video / audio.

NSVtools has the basic video and audio codecs required for video encoding. ( VP3 and MP3 )

You can read more information about setting up a Winamp TV station here -
Sticky: Introduction to NSV (READ ME FIRST)

Get the NSV tools package and shoutcast from nullsoft.com

Install both.

Encode your video with the NSV batch encoder. See Daves site above and find the article about encoding profiles.

Set up a shoutcast server according to the instructions.

Use the nsvscsrc.exe source program to stream your files to the shoutcast server.

Configure your router to forward the shoutcast server.

The nsvscsrc program can be replaced by various other source programs. You'll also find those on Daves site.

This usually takes 2 days to set up the first time and 15 minutes after that

Thats perfect! Thats all I need to know was a "how to", no I will unleash my web weenie guy to get this going. We have Shoutcast server already established for our radio station. This is a great lead, thank you very much. If theres anything I can do for you, just ask, but I am not as savvy with this stuff as you all.

TIA
