- Are you 100% sure you have forwarded the port correctly to 192.168.0.2?
- Any firewalls running (Windows firewall or something like zone alarm maybe?) - Does your router have any sort of inbuilt firewall? OR: Consider getting some stream hosting, then you won't need to worry about NAK errors - I hear (Unwarranted advertising, please don't do that) |

Sorry but this is no help for me...i'm not some kind of amater in this buisness...i went over this "steps" a million times... BUT!!! i didnt shut down the Zone alarm and restart my comp becouse its not safe running in no firewall protection...dont u think so...i dont know much about ROUTERS but do u think i need my Zone alaram if the router has the fire wall protection??? And my radio was running good until i got a router...and i had my "ZA" running...so is it possible that router doesnt like me? and in the "port forwarding" does it matter what is the name of "Service Name" i have "WampAS1" and "Scast1" ??? or is it just the matter of ports 8000 and 8001...so ports it is... Ready for new shit THANK YOU!!! |

shut down zone alarm. If you have a router then you do not need this.
Does your router have a DMZ setting in it? If yes, then add the IP address of the computer you are broadcasting from to the DMZ. That should fix you (but if you use the dmz option, then run zone alarm and punch a hole through the software firewall [just allow everything for winamp and shoutcast {nothing to add here, just wanted yet another bracket :P}]). Cheers! |

I had the same problem with the ever famous NAK error when I first started using shoutcast, and How I fixed my problem was, I went into my firewall to the advanced settings and chose the "exceptions" option and added shoutcast and it has worked fine ever since!

if you put your computer through the dmz and it still does not work, then you have another problem. The whole point of dmz is that it removes all protection from that computer.
So, you need to shutdown zone alarm, windoes firewall, nis, and any other type of protection software that you might be running. You should also go through this step by step and see where things break for you: http://www.allinternetradio.com/shoutcast-firewalls.asp . |

Where is your sc server is running? linux? then..
1) chk on boot, if that gets the ips correctly from ur router.. 2) make sure 2 ports are open, and pointing your server(local) IP in ur router, example: 8000, 8001 3) If ur using linux try to add ur shoutcast on boot load.. silence mod.. 4) chk if ur ports are being used(port scan) by some other soft.. 5) If nothing works.. then go sunday to church.. :P |
