Mus

Say if my DJ's are not online at night, and the shoutcast server is inactive, is there anyway to have like some sort of robot to stream the music?

i see it on IRC all the time, like it will say "radionameBot - now onair - playing: songname".

how is this done?

can i like upload music to a webhost and have it streamed?

help please

Perhaps an artificial intelligence can help automate your station? They work for free, 24/7/365. Sara, the AIVMS AI, can even announce news, weather and traffic reports just like a normal radio station, along with user definable song introductions.

A nice feature is that you or any other internet user can call into the station and connect with her Skype VOIP client to make "on-air" announcements, song requests, etc..
Sara will automatically answer incoming calls and prompt the caller (Hello, you are on the air live). She will then pause the broadcast, and route the VOIP audio to the internet stream. When the call is complete she will resume the broadcast.
You can download AIVMS and try it out for yourself to see if it will meet your needs. Once installed, just select the "DeeJ" command from her menu if you do not have a mic to issue voice commands.

You may have to adjust the sensitvity level of your mic in the AIVMS system tray icon menu, excessive background noise can be interpreted as a command if the sensitivity is too high, drop it down to 3 or 2 if required or just turn listening off by unchecking it in the system tray icon menu. The proper way to run the DeeJ command using your mouse is to click on the AI hostess (Sara) in the lower right hand corner of your desktop, select "Sara1" from her menu, and then select "DeeJ".
There is a help system included with the software.

P.S. Swearing at the AIVMS AI chatbot will simply cause her to block your Skype account from further access.

The AIVMS AI logs all external chat activity, and it will also issue an administrator alert when an abusive user has been locked out. It can place alerts though Skype chat or voice call, SMS, or email. These alerts can also include such things as dangerous system conditions, external sensor values that exceed a specified threshold, or various other triggers that can be set by the software user.
One typical use of the AIVMS AI alert system would be integration with fire and intrusion home alarm systems. Since the AI can issue an actual "voice" call alert, it can instantly contact a home owner anywhere in the world by phone to announce an alarm condition. It uses its Skype VOIP client to issue voice call alerts and these calls can be placed to any normal telephone or cell phone when the SkypeOut feature of the AI's Skype client has been enabled.
