SHOUTcast + D-Link
Okay I've spent a lot of time reading in the forum and other help sites about how to get shoutcast to work with d-link.
I finally found what I needed and went to fix the settings in the router (192.168.0.1). I write everything right but when Im pressing "Apply" nothing happens. BUT if I leave the Private IP box empty and press Apply, a new box pops up saying I have to fill in the IP. So the Apply button must be working..but what's the problem? I even tried to add shoucast in the router on both computers, still same thing. And if you go to some other option, like Firewall or something else, then the apply button works. But not on the Virtual Server settings, which is the one I need. Can anyone help? |

Contact DLINK !
You need to enter the IP address of the PC which is the private IP address is talking about. The router is 192.168.0.1 , but what is the address of the PC running Winamp with the shoutcast DNAs?? That is what you need to enter in the router setup. Again contact DLINK if you need help with their NAT setup on their router. ~ DK ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |

Many D-Link routers require a restart after changing port forwarding settings. Make sure you reboot the router after saving changes.

Hello DLINK tech support. Your firmware is pooop, I need help...
Call em, see if there are updates for their hardware. you would be surprised how many routers are sold with old shit firmware (most of which can be installed with a simple download). Press the http://support.dlink.com/ easy button. ~ DK ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |
