Flawless Albums (aka "skip button" not required):
You've accidentally broken the 'skip' button (one too many hopeless techno tracks). What would you play now?
I-Robots : Italo Electro Disco Underground Classics ![]() When Mr Disco met Mr New Wave, somewhere (I believe) high up in the Italian Alps. To be honest I couldn't name more than 5 Italian bands, but when the music police come knocking I'll be hiding behind this.

I mostly listen to complete albums without skipping.
Yesterday I listend to five Zeni Geva albums in a row (the thought alone should drive Cylob up the wall). Fuck this place. |

It looks like it'll last for me anyways.
It's pretty rare that I like a new album right off the bat like this.

I had heard some sub-par reviews of it though I like their previous work. |

I could probably list quite a few. I'm an album-oriented kind of guy. I tend to listen to most albums all the way through. |

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
I can, and do, listen to all of their releases without skipping, but this one is more so than all the others. I think the reason might be because of the story that it creates. Spiral out, my friend. You will find your way back to yourself, we all will. I'll be waiting, and shall see you on the other side... |

I bought The Downward Spiral on CD and took it back the next day.
Thankfully, I realised the error of my ways and gave it another chance............ 10 years later.Quote:
![]() I've sussed out how to get 10 (or so) random tracks on a click, so I'm moving even further away from "THE ALBUM". Anyway, on with the list.....: Bowery Electric - Lushlife (2002) ![]() AMG: "By now, you pretty much know what to expect from Bowery Electric — great head music filled with dashes of Mo' Wax-informed beats, breathy vocals, and atmospheric flourishes. Those three characteristics are a dime a dozen by now, but somehow BE manages to pull it off without sounding like the umpteenth Portishead knock-off." I almost wish Portishead hadn't existed, every single spacey/trippy band of the late 90's has been accused of ripping them off. Bah!! Just because you invent a genre, it doesn't mean you own it (along with all the subgenres) for the next million years. |

Bon Jovi - These Days
Their best album. Every song is awesome, yet no-one I know ever mentions any of the songs off it when they talk about Bon Jovi, not even the fans! Utada Hikaru - Distance Its just plain awesome. Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth I woulda said The Downward Spiral, but I sometimes feel uncomfortable somehow, when listening to The Becoming Bjork - Homogenic I don't think there is one track on this album that i could ever think of skipping. PJ Harvey - Is This Desire? Same goes for this. ![]() Nobby:I have ADD.... Germ:No shit, Nobby? Nobody would have ever guessed. |

Touché.
![]() The Downward Spiral is a very difficult album and a touchy subject for me. It was my first introduction with Nine Inch Nails, at a time in my life when I was experiencing similar self destructive patterns to the character in the story that I hinted about earlier in this thread. As my first encounter, this album will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't know if the person who opened me up to the band sensed my behavior through the downward spiral I myself was following, but I have no doubt in my mind that if I hadn't met this new friend I would be in a far worse place than I am now. Spiral out, my friend. You will find your way back to yourself, we all will. I'll be waiting, and shall see you on the other side... |

I would have to say Bon Jovi - One Wild Night, has the best of the old and the new, all live recordings. I particularaly like the tracks "something for the pain", and "something to believe in".
Another album I listen too without haveing the urge to hit the skip button is Rob Zombie - Past, Present, and Future. I need to improve my collection of AC/DC before I can vote on one of their albums to play through, though I think Back in Black would make the list. L J |

When I bought my kids a portable each, I gave them just "Pyromania" for 2 weeks (Lesson #1, Rock & Roll). It certainly paid off.
