I need help! Aaah!

I typed the server names (relay) in from the edit config (unchanged) on the server (i think it's called DNAS, not sure...) and then put it into the edit source or something like that (where it said to put it on the readme file,) and it didn't work! Could someone please help? Thanks!

whos is hosting the shoutcast server ? are you running it on the same computer as winamp? You would connect to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) not a website name etc.

Post the output of the log if you have any, just the last 10-20 lines of the log.

search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn.

so you are having trouble getting the dsp to connect to dnas? If yes, then the password must have been wrong. The default password is chamgeme. If you did change the password, then make sure you did not have any spaces in what ever you used, as dnas can not handle this.

Finally, did you change the srcIP or destIP??? These should both be set to any. Additionally, the address in the output tab in the dsp should be localhost. If it is and that still is not working, then try using 127.0.0.1

Let me know if this fixes anything for you.

build a playlist in winamp, open the dsp and have it connect to dnas, pressplay on winamp and you are all set.

Something tells me you want to know your tune in ip: www.whatismyip.com --- take that number and add http://Number:8000/listen.pls

Something also tells me that you probably do not have your router setup for portforwarding. Check here: http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and type in port 8000 while you are broadcasting. If it actually works, then you have nothing left to do and you are all set. If it fails, then go here: www.portforward.com and select your router, then select SHOUTcast as the application ... it will walk you through all of the steps needed to setup your router for port forwarding.
