shoutcast on mobile phones?
i've been listening to stuff like groove salad on a couple of different mobile phones (nokia with a realplayer, samsung with a windows player) by streaming the shoutcast stations from my orb PC, where the orb app does the stream transcoding for me
every time i've tried direct 3gp access from the station itself it hasn't worked for me how are other folks shoutcasting to their mobile phones? |

you can listen to shoutcast streams with itunes, winamp, showave flash, real media player, fubar 2000, windows media player
so the answer is, no you dont need special apps if the phone has even of those embedded .listen.pls is the playlist file that causes issues with everything but itunes and winamp. you remove listen.pls from the stream url and windows media and real media kick it just fine. ~ D ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |
