I also very much like G-Force. At least when I'm someone else's windows machine.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

I don't really have a favorite.. I always use the standard visualisation from winamp.

But you made me pretty curious for that G-Force vis. You have a link of it? Couldn't find it on the site..

Nunz.. How can I get that Head-Bangin' Llama Beat Detection Viz? If I drag the window to be big enough I get the same thing as you without the Llamas Head-Bangin. How do I get it? Is there an option somewhere? Or.. eh.. has the Head-Bangin been removed? :/
*EDIT* Bento doesn't have the Head-Bangin' either.. :/

And btw, what colortheme is that?

*EDIT*
Regarding Winamp Modern skin and colorthemes - I think I found a bug..

Nice! Thanks JM!

I also like this ColorTheme, which is "Blues" (included in default Winamp package):
http://forums.winamp.com/attachment....postid=1184005

Now the only problem with the Llama Head-Bangin' Detection Viz is that it doesn't stay after restarting Winamp.. I have read that thread and someone said it stayed when restarting when using RC8 test version of W5, and someone also said it did NOT stay when using RC10 of W5.

Ahh, it would be fucking awesome if it stayed when restarting Winamp. Why doesn't it? Is there a slight possibility that it can be changed by the DEVs?

Why doesn't the Llama Head-Bangin' Detection Viz stay after restarting Winamp? It should. It would be plain fucking awesome (sorry for language)..

*EDIT*
And it doesn't work at all in Bento (doesn't have the same line in the middle with the thing to click on). This is an easter-egg specific for the Winamp Modern skin, I know, but it could also be done for Bento..

Anyway, it would be awesome if it would stay when restarting Winamp. Afterall, IF we want it removed, we can just hold SHIFT + CTRL + ALT and CLICK again. So thats not a problem..

It is specific to the Winamp Modern Skin.

In in the Bento skins...

Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift and click on the Winamp lightning bolt. The bolt will pulsate to the beat. It is hard to see, so change the color theme if you don't see it easily

Also, in Preferences > Modern Skins > Current Skin tab > double click on the picture > have fun nibbling away at your time

Ok.. But still I haven't got the answer I want:
In W.M.S, why doesn't the Llama Head-thing stay after restarting Winamp? I mean, it should have. Its annoying that we need to click each time I start Winamp..

Maybe a DEV can answer?
It would be so cool if the Llama Head-bangin' would stay even though if restarting Winamp/restarting the computer or whatever. It should stay!

Any reply? There must be a reason for the Llama Head Bangin' dont staying when restarting Winamp. If not, it should imo - thats what I think though. It would be so cool to have that Llama in Winamp without having to click each time, heh

from my understanding, the easter egg's state is only stored in a temporary variable rather than being saved/re-read back in. it would just need someone to make the relevant changes in the maki file that controls it to make it persist i believe - one for martin though as i don't build the final maki file properly, heh

-daz

If you have issues with Winamp or still want to get it, ensure
you get v5.666 build 3516 and the required plug-in updates

Visulizations

R4 has best graphics, very impressive. G-force is excellent too for it's quality and variety. Milk Drop is another good one for quality and variety, same for the built in Nullsoft Tiny full screen & Advanced visualization studio..All top notch with lots of scenes. Enjoy.

By far the best one is MilkDrop.

- Run it at 2560x1600 res on a 30 inch monitor
- Pick the best 100 presents out of thousands out there

And it will be the best vis out there, forever.

Hello everyone,
the best visualization is Milkdrop 2 of Winamp 5.5+, in my case Milkdrop 2.21 of Winamp 5.581, and I know, what I need to create a very good music-video for YouTube...

Milkdrop is best when in the mood for abstracts. Otherwise, one of the dancing girls like 'Cave Girl', 'Valentine Girl', 'Dancing BJ' and the others by Wildtangent are the best. My favorite is the 'Mojo Master' girl. Her lap dance tease is great.

Classic Spectrum Analyzer

Classic Spectrum Analyzer

This is the only one I use. It's a visualization of the classic Winamp analyzer that was on the main window of the older Winamp versions. It reacts superbly to music and you can see all the subtle changes in beats, notes, volume, everything. The screenshot does not do it justice you have to experience it. I have it positioned at the top of the main window and have it configured to look like fire, so it looks like it is burning to the music.
