Playing music direct through mic

I am trying to find an easy way to play music through Ventrilo instead of having to hold my mic up to the speakers and was wondering if Winamp had a way to do it?
I basically want the sound output to be diverted into the mic input without having to do it manually. Please could you tell me if there is a way
Thank you.

not with winamp currently.

i'm guessing a plug-in could be made to do it.

can't vertrillo's mic support be changed to "what you hear" sort of stuff.

Yes it can. You then allow the mic to feed directly to speakers and your voice can go through at the same time. Only problem is you need headphones or you deafen eveyone on ventrilo with feedback.

We do it regularly (use ventrilo that is - not deafen people).

Well its already been said really:

1. In ventrilo setup click on "recording (input)" and chose the option to record from sound card output. This will either be called "stereo mix" or "what you hear" or something similar.

2. test out playing music so you can get your levels right (so you can play music without it distorting to the listeners).

3. click on the "playback (output)" button - unmute the mic then adjust levels so the voice is right.

Remember you will probably need headphones so when you talk you dont get feedback.

Other than that you will need to read the ventrilo help files !!!

A plugin like this would be great for everyone that wants to share short moments of what they are playing without sending around songs.

Are there no way to make Winamp simulate a microphone?
If it was it could work in flash-aplications, skype, etc

Some old soundcards doesn't support that feature on Windows Vista and 7.
While "Stereo Mix" in active Skype conversation is selected, another conversation memers will hear their voice in many echoes.
So, there will work virtual soundcard or two active sondcards, if your conversation members dont wanna listen their voice in echo
