Milkdrop crashes

I have a brand new $3000 computer but have been having problems with running some computer games that start to load and then crash, and i suspect that milkdrop wont start for the same reasons.
Basically I will be playing some music and when I try to startup milkdrop it pops up the window and then shows this error message

Plug-in executed illegal operation
Restart of Winamp is recommended (2)

but the "(2)" at the end is either that or a "(1)"

I have all of the current drivers for my computer I am runing the latest version of winamp, i have the latest version of milkdrop as well, and i am running dx 9.0c.

my videocard is a nvidia 256 7900GT

any help is greatly appreciated.

yes it is a 64 bit, why, is that the problem, and no im just using the 1.04d.

i have an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+

if that is it let me know because that would explain most of the problems i am having.

yep thats the ticket. ya need to go into your comps config somewere(i have no clue where) and disable something to the effect of data encription for the winamp.exe, if ya search the fourms for 64bit you'll prolly find the explaination from someone who's done it(i got an old 32bit gerbil in my comp )

Blah!

Same problem - not 64 bit

It's probably not a 64-bit problem since the same thing happens on my dual core pentium.
