ShoutCastWire streaming constipates http on my system
I must have something set up really stupid or something. I hope you can help. I'm a SHOUTCastWire (v1.04) user. Using WA (v5.24). I have a number of subscriptions (e.g. Democracry Now, American Public Radio: Marketplace, etc.). I've found that when I "play media" (streaming) that it pretty much constipates all of the http traffic on my system. For example, any IE browswer page loads pretty much hang, or crawl like molasses, until the streaming is complete. It is NOT a bandwidth issue on my connection. I have a satellite modem (hughes.net) connection and in these cases there is bandwidth to spare. It happens on all of my subscriptions. As such I tend to "download media", then once it is downloaded I play the media. Another reason I know it isn't a bandwidth issue is that while I'm doing the "download media", which IS sucking some bandwidth, I don't have the http constipation problems. Go figure.
Any insight would be appreciated.
