Can "Calculate Replay Gain" only process new files?
Any chance of tweaking Calculate Replay Gain to add a few options?
1) Calculate Replay Gain (Only "new" files) 2) Re-Calculate Replay Gain (Force ALL files) Assume someone gave me a DVD with 1000 songs, and I just did a drag and drop into my collection. Since I don't know what files exactly were added, I must select ALL albums to calculate Replay Gain. On my 1.5 GHz system, it takes one hour to process 231 mp3 files. So, 1000/231 = 4.3 hours. BUT, since I already have 5000 existing files, they will ALL be processed: 6000/231 = almost 26 hours! When I was researching MP3gain, I noticed it would just display previous calculated values, instead of taking the time to recalculate all the values all over again. Thanks, Mike |

Moved from Bug Reports to Wishlist (how is this a bug, exactly?)
Well, you could add all files to the media library then go to: ML > Local Media > Recently Added and calculate replay gain just for those newly added ones. |

Sorry, I was thinking since it processed the same files it already processed, it was a bug.
And, thanks about the Recently Added... I had forgotten about that. Thanks, Mike |
