Big Ugly Spiders
The camera kind of sucks, these were the best of the 50+ shots I took.
![]() Anyway, so we have a sort of problem here at home. I walked out the front door on the way to get a CD from my car when I encounter the first beast. As you might expect it scared the shit out of me. I turned around to run inside to get the camera when I see the second spider. Inside of my mother's bedroom I look out the window to find a third spider. I fear there are plenty more of these. And these are big motherfuckers too, I'm talking like the size of a golfball. I have nightmares about these things and now it feels like I'm living in the movie Arachnophobia. What happens if more and more keep popping up? My mother got pissed at me when I killed one yesterday. She hates spiders as well but thinks that they're beautiful. "As long as they stay outdoors..." Yeah, well, it's starting to get cold out. I've already killed two small spiders in my bedroom tonight, I'm thinking there's a nest around. Fucking creepy crawly nasty ugly fucking things. Man, I hate spiders! Anyway, any opinions? What should we do about this? Spiral out, my friend. You will find your way back to yourself, we all will. I'll be waiting, and shall see you on the other side... |

No kidding. This place has some BIG BUGS. I almost flipped a cookie when I saw the size of the ants here.
They're four times bigger than the ones in MS.

Wow those tick looking spiders are creepy. But they ain't got nothin' on the Banana Spiders we get here. One bite from those leave an ultra large whelp that takes forever to shrink.
Then there are the Brown Spiders(not Recluse) that never seem to go away, no matter how much spray you use. ITs a good thing that they don't make it in doors. Webmaster @Order Of The Mists [OOM] |

We used to get the banana spiders all the time, but now I see maybe 2-3 a year. I miss them - they look interesting.
If you see a spider outside not hurting you, leave it be - it's killing the bugs that really do bug you. It's making sure that when you open your door, a ton of mosquitos won't flood in. Don't forget to live before you die.

Well it depends. I've allways been creaped out by spiders. If they are outside and I have no conntact with them I have no problem, but if I see then in the house I kinda freak out.

This is cute. I've had this little bug crawling on the cord of my iPod earplugs all night. It goes out of bounds sometimes, but it always return to the coord.
And this is how it looks: The tiny little hun of junk in the left part of the image is a spider which I squished. And the bottle there, is a bottle of something called Systane. 09 F9 11 01 9D 74 E8 5B D8 41 56 C3 63 56 81 C0 |

It's starting to get cold here, so I'm getting my yearly invasion of spiders into the house. Spiders are good because they kill more annoying pests. I just put them outside.
I found out that if I leave them alone, I don't have mosquito or fly problems. Global Movies and TV God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to hide the bodies of people who pissed me off. |

Speaking of spiders, for you folks in Mississippi, you have a new poisonous spider to worry about. Asside from the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse, be watchful of the Brown Widow spider.

That's one thing that's cool about northwest Oregon. No poisonous snakes or spiders. Occasionally someone will run into a brown recluse, but they are usually imported from someplace else and won't continue to survive here.
I got bit by one in a crate of computer equipment I was unpacking. Let me tell you..... that sucks.... I heard the irish say a couple of times that it was a relic of St. Patrick that drove the snakes out. Perhaps it's just too cold

You mean snakes on a motherfucking plane?
People say there are brown recluses and black widows here in Ohio where I live but I never see them. The worst I see are the banana spiders mentioned above, but even then I'm seeing less of them every year. Don't forget to live before you die.

I've found rather large Black Widow Spiders in the crawlspaces of my last house, and out in the backyard of my current house.
Not fun to be crawlin' around down there and having one the size of a quarter in your face. Sheesh. |
