Cannot see your station/computer
I have shoutcast nullsoft server gui installed and running.
I have created a station, set all up, passwords etc... using winamp it logs in ok and shows this information: <11/03/06@12:39:41> [source] icy-name:dbc sports ******************************* ; icy-genre:sport <11/03/06@12:39:41> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:56 ; icy-url:http://www.shoutcast.com <11/03/06@12:39:41> [source] icy-irc:#shoutcast ; icy-icq:0 ; icy-aim:N/A The feed is playing ok, but when I go to shoutcast.com, my radio station is not showing up in amongst the list with all the other stations. About several minutes later, I then get this message in the GUI box: [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: **.*.**.**:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused).) <11/03/06@12:46:13> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <11/03/06@12:46:13> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: **.*.**.**:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused).) I have none of the above on my server. I am really confused here. Can anyone help me out? Much appreaciated. Thanks ![]() I have tried to find a topic regarding this before posting, but cannot find anything.

I had at one stage removed the router out of the way and just had my normal broadband modem on, and turned the firewall off, so nothing could get in the way, but returned this error message: [yp_add] error resolving yp.shoutcast.com I wont do that again, as trojans started to appear. Cleared them all off and no problems, but now have full security on my PC. The router is configured as per instructions. |

If you forward the router correctly according to the guides at portforward.com
there is nothing standing in your way to broadcast a stream over the internet if you however still have a firewall running on your system you kinda get blocked twice the router has it's own firwall ( hardware) and you put a firewall on your system (software) heres some handy tutorials Read the Winamp Read me IORSN Streaming Tutorial Evil Lu's Local Streaming Tutorial Evil Lu's Fixing Nak Errors IORSN Fixing Nak Errors read and learn. |

ok, this is my error. I originally had the nak errors as mentioned above, but now i have a bit of a confusing error (at least to me)
I start the DNAS server, and it touch's and add's me succesfully. I can even see my station on shoutcast.com. But the problem Im having is that NOBODY can connect to it, theyll click the link and it wont be able to play. So yeah, Not sure why itll let it connect to shoutcast, but not let people listen. Ive turnd off the windows firewall and the only antivirus program i use is NOD32 and i believe that the dnas is allowed through. http://shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-...e=filename.pls thats the link (I have it running all the time) any help would be appreciated. |

I do notice, however, that the only IP address the router will allow to forward is this one: 192.168.1.100 with ports 8000 to 8001. I have set the router to forward scast/8000 to 8001/TCP/192.168.1.100/enable in port range forward. Port triggering is enabled also. DMZ is disabled. |

did the tests, cant get past number 2. I stopped my firewall like before so my connection just says "Connected", But when I do test 2 it cant connect. DNAS is running and the nak error shows up yet again.

Thats obvious (not trying to be rude), but ive followed the directions from front to back at allinternetradio.com (the link you posted above) on my other computer before, and it worked fine. Yet on this one, it wont work, I cant imagine what I am doing wrong. No firewall is up, what else could be preventing this from working.

if your router uses dhcp then if your computer's ip changes you are going to have to setup port forwarding for the new IP.... Just a FYI
