encoding to another server

my situation,

i live south wales and have a server in london which has a static ip.

on my website i want to embbed windows media player,

i want to broadcast from my computer here at home, to the server in london and then from server in london to all the listeners, i have read and read again, but cant seem to put my finger one the same problem,

how can it be done with minimal fuss every time i want to broadcast?

how can i get the static relays to tell me how many people are listening to my server in london?

can someone tell me what to put where?

i need a dummies guide to this

anybody to help will be greatly thanked,

Broadcast using winamp with the DSP from home to the server then the embedded player or website just need to point to that same server just as a listener would.

That's how everyone else is doing it as well if they have a home broadband that is the SOURCE and they are streaming to a SERVER somewhere on the internet.


You need sc_serv (server program) running on the server is london.

Then on your PC you need winamp and the shoutcast DSP (plugin)

If the server is london is only a web server, you need to talk to the companies support and see what you can run or install on it .

hi mate thanks for that, i am using the sam broadcaster, which ip do i have to send it to? the server ip? we can do anything on the server as we baught it for just over 5 grand, so do i have to send it in WMA to that ip? Rikki

for sam support you should try www.spacialaudio.com and they may help a little more with their software.
