Playlist sticking

Hi,

First of all, apologies if this is a question that has a totally obvious answer. I am new to shoutcast, as of a week ago.

I help run www.radiofreeporty.org We use winamp version 5.31 and shoutcast version 1.9.0

The problem we are encountering is that the playlist in winamp is sticking, halting the shoutcast broadcast. An example, in the evening I make sure that the playlist has enough material on it to play until morning. In the a.m. I check the pc and find that the whole thing (shoutcast and winamp, not the whole pc)has 'frozen' like its got stuck on a bad mp3 file or something.

What i've tried so far:
Using different mp3's
Checking the pc at different times of the day
Unistalled and reinstalled clean, new versions of winamp and shoutcast.

Any help would be really appreciated, as we are totally scratching our heads here! We run winxp home on a p4 with 1gb ram.

Cheers then,

If the playlist is not set to loop/repeat it will stop when it gets to the end.

Probably not frozen, just stopped? There's nothing either will do if nothing is playing.

Try creating a small playlist with about 2 files and see if it will loop to the beginning after the last one plays,

Cheers for the response djSC.

Have tried that. It seems to be stopping at random points in my playlist. Last night it stopped on track 83 out of 160. It stops on different mp3's so I know its not corrupt music files or anything...

Anyone any thoughts?

(By the way, its been ok as of 8.00am this morning! Fingers crossed!)
