Localhost

Should I change this to my IP addresse? Or does this not matter for broadcasting?

If the DNAS server and the source WinAMP+DSP are on the same PC it should be localhost or 127.0.0.1

Some PCs cannot use the name "localhost" because they do not have a hosts file saying that localhosts=127.0.0.1, so the surest bet is to use the IP 127.0.0.1

Otherwise use the DNAS server's real LAN IP or public IP, in that order. If the DNAS is not on your LAN, you can only use the DNAS server's public IP.

*tip* If your pc cannot find an IP address for localhost (ping localhost to find out), and you must use a name (and DNS works for you), localhost.shoutcast.com, localhost.yahoo.com and localhost.google.com all resolve to 127.0.0.1 -- there are probably many others as well.

Okay great thanks. But its working fine now with "localhost". Should I just leave it the way it is if its airing okay right now?
