I really like them, but their lyrics piss me off. I was thinking along the lines of Arch Enemy or Leaves' Eyes, previously mentioned.
btw, Hypocrisy.

If you like girl-fronted rock/metal, you might like my mate's band Black River Falls; although most of their stuff's softer, they're steadily getting heavier. I'd recommend grabbing "Prison Cell" from the music page anyway. Quote:
Plus we cover "Pursuit of Vikings" by Amon Amarth now, which just rocks. |

Because American Head Charge had 7 members until their guitarist died. They've had quite a few lineup changes (check it out).

They're like Korn, except less of a fucking thorn in the side of metal's balls.

I apologize; after listening to them (after my last post) they seemed like a mix of drum n' bass and metal. It was actually much better than expected. The song I listened to was "I am Loco" Not bad. I didn't see it as rap at all. I must have confused them with someone else at the time.

There's a band called "Pain" that has some really good stuff. I have lost the CD, and my mp3 backups don't have song titles. There are 8 tracks on a what I think was a self-titled album. One of the songs that I can remember is "The Last Drops of My Life". It's slow and intense, with lyrics that are very hard to hear, but deal with suicide.
Can someone help me locate a copy? In the meantime, try to get a hold of the band. It's good stuff. Don't forget to live before you die.

Yes! That's the band, but the first self title album was very difficult for me to find, and now I can get it back. As it turns out the songs I have are the same as those listed for that album, but mine only had the first 8 tracks; they must have added two on a re-release or something. Here's the album cover of the one I had:

Fucking CLUTCH!!! I have two of their albums on cassette. Thanks for posting - Now I know what to listen to for the next few days. I saw them live at a Youngstown, OH bar called the Nyabinghi. They kick more ass than a redhead's stepdad.
C'MON MOTHERFUCKER, C'MON MOTHERFUCKER, C'MON MOTHER LET'S THROW DOWN C'MON MOTHERFUCKER, C'MON MOTHERFUCKER, C'MON MOTHER LET'S GO But would you consider them metal, or just offbeat rock? Don't forget to live before you die.
