Web page links not working

Okay I have a web site up that has picture links on it so people can just click the "listen here" links and tune in. But no one can get the feed from clicking the picture links (its just takes them to some bad web page that says error or somthing) even thoe i know the shoutcast server is up and its brodcasting. So im thinking maybe im just typing URL link wrong?

Before I had as " http://localhost:8000/listen.pls " And people said that it wasnt working as that.

So I figured maybe the it was the "localhost" thing that was stopping people from picking up the link. So I changed my brodcasting info " http://127.0.0.1:8000/listen.pls ".

So any ideas here? Or am i just typing the links wrong all togeather? lol

no one can connect to these addresses.

this is your internal network address,

you need your real ip and port.

www.whatismyip.com

if you find the ip changes then you may need a no ip/dyndns name,

search these boards for plenty of info on dynamic names if you find you need them.

So then I would post somthing like " http://142.161.146.162:8000/listen.pls " for the web link?

And then in Output config under address put " 142.161.146.162 " wich my IP addie?

nope leave the output config alone as the link is working fine.

Did your IP address change? They tend to do that (unless you give your ISP more money)

Kay wow... How often do these IP addies's change about? I had update them on my web page 2 times in 24 hrs already....

you need a dynamic name like a no ip or a dyn dns name,

do a search on the boards for no-ip or dyndns and it will reveal plenty of information
