FFSkiner (new program announcement)

Hi! For a two months I develop a new program to create freeform skins. The core, file I/O and PNG cache are almost completed now (I think it is about 50% of usable prog). Rendering system and parameter editors are in progress. I just want to make an announcement about. Here is EXE, but there are almost nothing to operate. You just may look at the menu and test file I/O. I know that there were some attempts to build such prog, but I'll try to do it once again. May be...

Well tbh, there's not enough there yet to comment fully on. what you've got so far seems ok though (menus etc).

the open bitmap window does not contain the proper file types (only PNG and some unreadable ones) and also i get a dialog box quite frequently stating coordinates..

also, the stuff in the tree view never seems to stay open, it closes when it loses focus or something.

nice work otherwise though.

Tree view stuff closes only when changes in skin structure are made. It will be corrected shortly.

I attach a header file here (definitions.h). You can look at this. I'll be very thankful if you can help me to fill it while I'm working on ohter stuff.

There is update. Now it is able to draw PNG files you have added and change skin base properties (directory, author, copyright etc.). It is in process right now... I'll try not to post so frequently (just one time, sorry).

A small update. Bitmap elements drawing was introduced. Currently I'm working on objects renders and skin structure management.
You can set a valid skin directory in skin properties dialog and try to add some PNGs.

hmm, even when i select a skin directory, and put PNGs inside, it does not let me add bitmaps.

May be there is a problem with slash or backslash. I really don't know. PNG loader is very buggy now and is only for debugging. I think it'll be much more stable with next release. Now thinking about recursion in "group" renderer...

i hope you are using inheritable groups/objects, thats what i did when i started my program, and it made things easier..

it says skin directory not found.

I don't know about inheritance in objects. But it'll be in groups, I hope. Is inheritance just an objects insertion from parent group?
