I have winamp 5.3 and I tried to download the wake plugin, but it don't work

I have put it in the plugin file just like it said to do and it won't give a desktop icon or anything. It don't even show up in the general plugins on preferences, what am I doing wrong???

Third-party plugins are not supported, try contacting the plugin author for support.
