Where did ID3v2 tag edit go?

Since v. 5.30 the familiar tag editing box (pressing ALT-3) disappeared. In its place there is another that only deals with ID3v1 tags. What happened with the display and editing of the ID3v2 tags? Are still there and I should change something somewhere to get it? Have it gone forever?

Please help me!
Gustavo

Did you install a third party MP3 plug-in like In_Mad or MP3pro?

It's still there in the default Nullsoft in_mp3.dll
The only reason why it wouldn't be there is if you installed some shabby replacement MP3 Decoder, like in_mad, in_mpg123, or in_mp3pro

[Edit] Bleh, too slow again. Hi JM [/Edit]

it's still there, sounds like you've installed another plugin to also handle mp3's which is conflicting with nullsoft's in_mp3. please attach a plugin list so this can be verified

[ah crap, even slower, damn my looking up of the plugin list link]

Thank you both of you! Yes it was the mp3PRO plug-in. I have no idea that this plug-in were overriding in-mp3. OK I disabled mp3PRO. Now, it means that I will no longer have support for mp3PRO in Winamp?

For those who want to keep the MP3pro plug-in, is suggested to disable its playback of standard MP3 files...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double click 'THOMSON mp3PRO decoder'
4. General tab > uncheck 'Enable (use mp3PRO Decoder for all .mp3 files)'

You might have to close & restart Winamp for the change to fully take effect.

mp3pro is a terrible format anyway, their are much better alternatives. eg. aac+ and vorbis

vorbis being totally free and having the most hardware support out of the three.

wma and mp3pro should be totally avoided at all costs.
