Ben Stiller: Shut the fuck up.

I can't remember the last time Ben Stiller made me laugh. Actually, just seeing him pisses me off.

I had to take a few deep breaths after seeing the trailer for his new movie, which includes a rehashed 'in between the lines' character being subjected to a wacky situation. Although that description fits 90~% of his movies, the particular one I'm talking about is where he's a security guard at a museum, in which everything becomes animate at night. I'm too pissed to look for the name of it.

It features the ever-comedic stylings of Owen Wilson, too. When he's not busy munching a rotten douchebag, he's busy being a rotten douchebag. The only line in the preview he says is, "Oh, come on!" With emphasis on the word "on" slowed down to a whine so enraging I had to pour cold water on my face to keep from having an aneurysm.

I can't wait to see what wacky coincidences and silly situations Ben Stiller will be in this time! Hopefully he'll shout retarded, overused pseudojokes like, "Not again" or argue with a monkey.

Just thinking about how much money he'll make from this movie makes me want to vomit into a syringe and stab myself in the neck.

Ha, I agree with you. Feeling the same way about Adam Sandler right now too but the amount of shit being thrown out with him starring is starting to finally slow down.

On another note I'm not sure it's the actors themselves that suck entirely but the directors they work under. I've seen some quality movies/acting from Ben Stiller but the tripe he pumps out now isn't even worth casually watching on TV.

You're right about Sandler. He used to crack me up, screaming at a golf ball, hitting people, etc.

You have a point about the directors, but it can't be all a cause of them.

Another person who's been following similar paths is Will Farrell. *shrug*

Will Farrell's still pretty funny...What movies he does is on-and-off, I think, though...

Like I enjoy him in "A Night at the Roxbury" and "Taladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", but I thought "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" was absolute shit...

Then again, I havn't watched very many of his movies, and I know him in more SNL skits anyway, soooo...

But when he and Happy Madison Productions make shitloads pushing tripe, why bother doing anything else?

Owen and Stiller are obvious typecasts. Owen's never proved himself to be anything but a face. Stiller at leas has a few characters.
