Flac opens but doesn't play

I have just installed the latest flac and winamp lite. When I click on a flac file, it opens in winamp, the title is visible, but it just sits there. The play and other buttons appear to be greyed out but I can press them. THey do nothing. Mp3 file play fine. XP pro. Any suggestions?

Hi. We only support the Nullsoft FLAC Decoder v1.1.2c, which comes with the Winamp Full, Bundle, and Pro packages, but not Lite.

If the reference flac decoder doesn't work, then you'll need to report the problem to the flac developers.

My suggestion is that you download Winamp Full, and either use 7Zip to extract in_flac.dll, or select Lite as the install type on the 2nd page of the installer options, then checkmark FLAC under the Audio Support section (and any other features you might want).
